hi scott, a dslr may be too heavy. i'm unsure if you can add counter weight to an alt/az mount...say maybe on the front of the scope?if anyones interested i can throw videos on here too.you could prob do a piggyback mount on ur scope.

I looked into counterweight but they only have for 5se and bigger but I did see a piggyback bracket

Ok cheers, I am going to head out this week and see what I can do with what I have I might hang one camera off the front and one off the back lol

hey Scott,i thought of something else.what about a longer dovetail bar (attaches tele to mount) that would allow you to shift the tele fwd to achieve a better balance.otherwise you may burn up the motor or in the least,limit the angle overhead you can reach
