Re: Scott's Australian Walkabout

Just got this email regarding a permit.

Hi Scott
Apologies for not getting in touch earlier, it’s busy days here at HQ.

If you currently have any other images (possibly ones that you may have uploaded to your website) of the park that you would like to include in your retrospective permit, please feel free to send them through for approval and I’ll issue the retro permit.

Unfortunately, on advice by our legal department, we can no longer issue blanket image capture permit valid for extended periods.
Effectively this means, that you will have to apply for individual permits, stating the exact dates you’re planning to spend in the field -- until our new image capture guidelines are in place, allowing us to negotiate individual agreements/licences.

If you would like to discuss, please feel free to give me a call next week.

Cheers

Just went for a quick stroll outside in the heat. Not many bugs and a bit windy.

Scott, I hope you get something workable sorted for your future permits. Sounds like if things go the wrong way, spending your days off taking photos in the NP could be a bit more hassle than you would hope for.

For now all my photos taken in the park will be for my enjoyment only and I will not be placing any for sale. Once the new permit system is in place then we will be better off.

I have other places that I can go take photos, and the township itself is not classed as parks so I am able to get shots here. I only have to drive 100+km's to get out of the park and can manage some great shots out of the park. So not ann issue, just means more travelling and camping is in store ;)

All fluffed up, I am loving the D800E + 150-600 Tamron combo :)

You are getting some good results with it, so no wonder you are loving it :p.

Ive got about 4 lenses on my want list, the 150-600 is one of them. I just can't work out what order to buy them in .
