Ok everyone I am back home and now back at work (nightshift) I am yet to post all my pics but you have seen enough to get the idea of the Nikon AW1, it is a nice camera and performs well, but does struggle a bit in low light. Considering all photos posted are straight out of camera I think it performs very well and is a tough portable camera that can take a bump or two.

Well it looks like I may be getting some clear skies this break. If so I am looking forward to testing out my new 14mm Rokinon out in the middle of nowhere. I will have to check on the moon phase and rise/set so that I can adjust if needed.

Well I finally have had time to go through my Bali photos properly and I must say the little Nikon1 AW1 did quite well.

Luwak coffee, now this is very interesting in how its made. The Luwak (possum like creature) eats the coffee bean but can only digest the skin and some pulp, the bean then is pooped out. The Balinese then wash the beans before roasting, it is a very nice tasting coffee but is low in caffeine. And is very expensive.

Fascinating - especially as I love my coffee.
I am not surprised it is expensive. I assume they have to go in search of Luwak poop to harvest and I would think the poop would be scattered far and wide or do they have them in cages or confined areas to make things easier.
More detail please Scott!
