20/01/2013, my very first Triptych. All photos are as they were shot only reduced in quality to upload. Was testing out my 80 - 400mm VR in overcast conditions.

I never heard of that one, but I am no snake expert thats for sure.

I ran over a Death Adder on my ride-on mower last year, it had different colouring to that one, but because it looks short and fat, I thought yours might have been a northern variety.

Adders have more of a triangular head shape.

Just my guess but anything that had been run over by a lawn mower would probably have a little different coloring! LOL

Thanks! I'm in the hunt for an UW, nice to see what others are obtaining with theirs.

Rick, I know you are favoring primes. Check out the Nikon 14mm. I talked with a news photog that was using one on the War Birds. He said it was great. I'm checking them out as well.
