Well it seem that I am not off to a good start as I have missed day 2. But it was not my fault. Making it a short story I decided to walk to the shops early on the 2nd 05:30am and I came across some youths in the golf course, they jumped me and took my money (I had $100 in change) luckily I never had my wallet or anything. But they left me with a few broken ribs and concussion. I have been resting the past 24hrs on pain meds and am still waiting to hear back from the police if they have apprehended them, Jan 2nd is all but a blur to me and its only just now that I am able to move abit more with out being in alot of pain. Well I guess 2014 cant get any worse can it. I am not going to let the last day ruin this year for me and will remain positive. It could have been alot worse.

Damn, that's horrible. If nothing else you didn't have your gear with you as well, but still. Glad it wasn't worse. Heal up quickly.

Crikey Scott, whats the world coming to ? Hope you mend up quickly and the year can get off on a better track for you.

I hope you got a good look at them so you will recognise them when you see them again.
5.30 in the morning was probably still dark up your way so they would be a bit hard to see.

I am here and on the mend. My eye is looking better, and ribs aren't hurting as much. Haven't really been motivated to take any real photos.

Those broken ribs will be no laughing matter for a while Scott .

I broke 3 of mine in the early '90s when I used to race motorbikes so I know what you will be going through.
If someone tells you a joke, just smile don't laugh. Oh, and coughing is definitely out, and if you need to sneeze.......:hopelessness:

Been thinking about you, I know you have to take care of your concussion and not read on www or watch television, but I'm glad you just wrote so we know you are okay :)

I am feeling much better today, and actually got out and grabbed a sunrise photo for you guys.

They are nothing special and just taken from my backyard using my D600.

Laughing isn't the issue but yeah sneezing kills. I am right enough to go back to work tonight and can do most duties except maybe hang from a rope rescue harness oh and wear breathing apparatus, but I will try in an emergency.

You sound like you're feeling better. Hope so!
I am Marilynne, been going over the events of what happened. And am also able to move alot more freely with out dropping to the ground with pain. I have missed out on a lot of thunderstorms with amazing lightning though which annoys me.
