Holy crap. I've been on a longish vacation with intermittent internet service, so I completely missed this thread until now. Scott, I'm sorry about the accident and I'm glad you are getting better! Sorry about the car and camera...but those things can be replaced.

I just knew the D800E was a great camera! Lol ;)

Glad to see things coming around, we knew you would get up, brush off and be about your regular activities in no time.

Your recent posts prior included a gal. Were you alone in the vehicle when the accident occurred? A couple near here who were involved in just such an event had lumps and opposite sides of their heads. Yup banged heads during the rollover and knocked each other silly.

Hey, did ya receive any internal hardware that will activate at the airport? Coworkers asked me during a meeting,"Why is it that you always get pulled aside?" I answered, must fit the profile.

Nikon's be made from pretty tough stuff.

I'd run that D800e under some water from the kitchen faucet to knock off the big chunks, shake off the excess and get back to shooting.

Great idea, you could be the new face of badly abused Nikons. You just need a snazzy jingle. Maybe " takes a licking and keeps on ticking" No wait. That one is taken. How about "takes a thumping and keeps on humping" No,maybe not. Well I am sure the members here could come up with a good jingle. Maybe we can have a contest and you, Scott, can be the judge.

You answered a question I've always wondered... If you hit a buffalo with a car, and the buffalo lives, does it come back and kick your behind and then stomp you into a blood stain. I now know the answer.

Second, new advertising slogan for Nikon... Tougher than a Toyota.

Well I cleaned my D800E and all looks good, the only broken bit seems to be my LCD screen which is only the cover which I got on it. I took some quick shots in CH and all turned out. Not easy since I have this cast on my right hand.
