SB 910? pocket wizard? FLASH help please!

I'm shopping for a flash for my D5100. I know very little about the technical terms of photography. My experience is in photo editing/graphic design. I was getting frustrated with the professional photos of my baby girl - expensive/quality camera photos, but I personally thought they stunk because there was no style or creativity what-so-ever, so I bought a D5100 to create my own photos to work from. Greatest thing ever. Now that winter is almost here, I need an indoor flash & would like to get something that would allow me to add a few extra flashes for studio lighting (Christmas card photos, my nephew's 1st bday photos...). I understand the SB 910 will act as a "commander" and allow me to add some smaller flashes (like the Yonguo 560)? Is that correct? Another website seems to suggest using a pocket wizard, but then says it may not work? I'm so confused and just would like something simple and easy to use. Any help is much appreciated!!

There are a lot of threads on flashes already, so reading through them would be a good start.

My daily flash is the SB400 which is just great for simple portraits ....

...I'm also sure everybody else has one of Nikon's other flashes as their favourites too! Good luck
