Three mornings in a holiday cottage in Yarragon South in Victoria, Australia. On the third morning, we woke up to the most beautiful, soft fog across the valley below, with trees popping up above it. Magical!

Week 18: 29 April - 05 May 2016 - Flora
Tulip, wet from recent rain, bowing its head in the garden of Dyrham Park, a National Trust property just north of Bath, UK. This was just one of a number of stunning tulips caught just at their peak.

Sashina's 52 in 2016 - Week 21 - Low Angle
Week 21: 20-26 May 2016 - Low Angle
Well folks, even though I've been late and have missed 5/21 weeks (a couple of these weeks may be salvageable...) I'm now up to date! Second outing with my new Tokina 11-20 and really pleased with this one: I just got lower and lower until I sat the camera in the grass and voila! There's my low angle shot. Only disappointment is the overblown sky.
Lovely day at Kew Gardens in London; I've now become a member and will be back soon for some more summery shots. From May to September the gardens are opening at 8am for members so I hope to be able to get there on a few summer mornings for some decent light (though it will be well after sunrise)!

Sashina's 52 in 2016 - Week 22 - Blue
Week 22: 27 May - 2 June May 2016 - Blue
Our first proper visit to Suffolk (for the non-Brits - on the east coast of England) and the delightful town on Southwold, with its tasteful (wow!) pier and runs of beach huts. The weekened weather wasn't brilliant, but we were in the right place when the sun did come out. So: lovely blue skies and a row of beach huts all with some blue in their paintwork. Lovely!
Week 22: 27 May - 2 June May 2016 - Blue
Our first proper visit to Suffolk (for the non-Brits - on the east coast of England) and the delightful town on Southwold, with its tasteful (wow!) pier and runs of beach huts. Wimpole Hall, Cambridgeshire has a beautiful walled garden. This wasn't my favourite corner of it on the weekend's visit (reserve that for the alliums), however the delicate flowers coming in and out of focus really appealed to me, as did the contrast with the clipped box hedge.

Week 24: 3 - 10 June 2016 - Comfort
Not a great week - we're still waiting for spring/summer to arrive! I'm the president of my local Women's Institute, and knew the stall we were running at a local fair on Saturday might provide some material. This was the best I managed. But who could deny that a jar of home-made marmalade is not a form of comfort? Not a member of the WI, that's for sure!
