Week 50, Reddish Egret.

the only other one of these i have seen was in week 10 when i shot the Surf Scooter, cant miss the opportunity.

This isnt what we here would call reddish egret,I see a band,maybe some weird mix or other species?

It DOES look like a Great x Green heron If it were my sighting Id put the pic in front of Buckeye on Filckr, The bird Identification help group , or , if free-wild, report it to the pautuxent bird banding people with whatever info you can discern , with a pic. Either of those, are very helpful people. I looked in my Central america book and couldn't find it. Its nifty.

OK, you have forced me to correct this. lol.

According to the San Diego wild animal park website its a Goliath Heron or Giant Heron. This challenge only highlights my weakness in bird id's, looked like a reddish egret to me.
