the lake is way down, overheard someone saying 15 feet, I know I have to walk a lot further to see the birds, we could do with a rain storm or two

The south has been in a drought for 7 or 8 years till this year. We have had a cooler and wetter summer than we have for years. My grass has had to be cut about twice a week all summer. It has finally slowed down a little so not it is only about every 7 to 10 days.

I went to the lake to see if I could spot the blue footed booby everyone was talking about, talking to the guy that rents boats, he said they start off here in the morning and head to the south side of the lake at night, then says there is one, a quick point and shoot ?? what settings anything and ended up with this crappy attempt.

Wildlife makes for crappy models LOL They just never stay still so you can adjust properly and they never take posing suggestions. You know where to look and will be ready next time :)

Looks like you got some good shots as your day progressed. I have yet to walk around the wetlands here this Fall so now I am inspired to go take what usually are crappy shots of birds. At least it keeps my shutter finger limber and I'll get a good walkabout.
Cheers- Kathleen
