Hi Roy, so that is where Buzz was!! :)

That is more the crop size I was referring to but you have some blurr where the craters should be?? Were you at the full 300mm zoom on the lens?? What was your shutter speed and were you hand held???

Look at the difference here...

what about this crop and zoom Pat. :D

This was handheld, full 300mm, spot meter on the moon with an 1/80 at f/6.3. Mine is not the greatest but notice the difference in crater detail along the edge... Yours appears blurred (or out of focus some)

Understand that I am not trying to be critical but share info...

i will check tonight Pat what the settings were (i think i used the settings you gave me), the photo with "buzz was here" is just a screenshot of the original pic, it was just done for a joke.

Ok Roy, I knew it was a joke... but did not realize it was a screen shot... Did I see the cropped image similar in size to mine??

It rained last night... Maybe I am just all wet! :)

Pat, the settings for the shot I posted was 300mm, spot, f8 1-1000 and 0 exp, I took about 10 different ones with all different settings just to see what works best.
