took a quick run out to San Jacinto before i started to cook dinner, only one other person there.

sun was up but behind some hills.

while shooting the Avocet every bird in the pond took flight, then the Harrier came gliding past.

the sun is coming in behind him.

i think this is a Merlin, was another on the top branch but flew off, the Harrier that was on the field in front of them flew off also when i got out of the cat to get a little closer.

missed an absolute free one of the male harrier, he was about 30 ft in front of me, sun behind me and on him and i was on AF-S, I heard the beep as i focused and i said beep beep.

the Flicker wasnt there when i got over to that side of the ponds.

i drove right past the meadowlark, 5ft, and only for him singing i wouldnt have seen it.
