decided to take the short drive over to San Jacinto to see what was about, i wasnt expecting much as the birds all seem to have gone from there until the Fall, but?

almost ran over this, saw it at the last second, stopped to make sure i did miss it then i snapped away.

A Gopher snake, it was about 3 - 3 1/2 ft long, looked around to see if there were any hawks about, lol might have got an action shot?

during the winter months you can drive right past these, now you cant get near them.

this used to be a pond.

this is the only pond with water around the back of the wildlife area.

the sun was going down behind the hills, sunlight was going fast.

i will play catch up in the morning, having a nice absolute kurrent and coke here, recliner at full stretch.

some kind of James Bond contraption? it was a couple of miles away.
