Am i seeing a pattern,it looks like the D500 likes your 70-300 better than the 50-500,well that is if most of the 300mm shots have been done on the 70-300.

better eyes than me mate, yes all the 300mm shots would be with the 70-300, i carry it around work/weekdays, 50-500 is for the weekends.

yes we are very lucky here MM, and this is our off season, roll on October till the wintering birds come back and the heat dies down a little.
