1st day back to school for my lot, so after dropping them off i got a quick run out to San Jacinto.

i spotted a turtle and got out of the car, seen a sora and tried to get a pic of it, my setting had moved to 3D and the auto focus was jumping all over the place, took me a few minutes to work it out and i missed the sora.

i spotted the white tailed kite flying towards me, by the time i got my camera up and the car stopped i was hanging out the window shooting towards the back of the car, surprised i got this.

everything was in the back 2 ponds and Matthew was sleeping in the car. So i had to shoot thru the reeds at them.

i thought i had found something Juicy, but its only a young Starling.

i havent done a 50 and 500 shot lately.

Red tail on a pole in the next field.

I didn't know what to make of this mike, kinda looks like an oil painting effect?

I see them now as you point them out Marilynne, could well be bugs, lots about, but in saying that I have saw the odd spot appear In a few pics.

i went looking for the Virginia Rails tonight, all sound and no vision. at least they are still there, heard 3 of them.

this was sitting right above where i thought the sound of the Rail was.
