i do most of my midweek shooting there, all sorts of birds, soras, rails, g heron, egrets, ibis, hummers, stilts, yellow throats, kites, hawks even coyotes, yet to see a snake there.

Seriously? I was worried I wouldn't have a bird in my yard. Haaaaa

Nice run so far Roy, (Like always), I hear you are getting a new neighbor to show around your area. I have to say I am a bit envious. I would love to wander around and take some photos with you, but I think California is a bit beyond my travel limit.

tired hard to catch this but failed.

some kids had found the dove and were surrounding it with leaves and twigs, looked like something has been pecking at its head, it was in a bad spot, almost below the owls nest.

thanks Woody, they are like wee balls of fluff, there are 2 pairs here, i haven't seen the Black neck stilt chicks yet, parents are squawking at me when i get near.

first time i have seen an osprey flying over head at work, it was a ways up there, also a Great white egret was walking around the back grassy area, but gone when i got out.
