A little out of my comfort zone, but I attended a music festival At Alpine Lake W. Va. this weekend and got some photos of one of the music groups, the first one is of the two principal members of the group and the second photo is the other 3 members._AAA8674 - Version 2.jpg

So I go down to my friend Marsha's Garden to see her red canna but it's buds have not yet opened. Still, many flowers are in bloom_AAA8727 - Version 2.jpg

That one reminds me warmly of a rambling rose my neighbor had when I was little, It grew all over the place , and - that which it could have been jealous of a tea rose for- .. it easily made up for with energy and complexity. ( thanks for reminding me of it )

These appear to be propagated but that are my favorite type of roses. I see them blooming in many out of the way places. Hybrids are beautiful, although they lack much scent, but these are much more interesting and, I think, of much more ancient stock.
