Savannah is beautiful....but you'll just miss the best St. Patrick's Day celebration in the country. The St. Patty's Day week is quite an event in Savannah!
I've been to St. Patrick's Day parade in NYC a few times. That one is tough to beat.

NYC is ranked ahead of only Savannah's and Chicago's. Savannah is right up there....I personally have never been to NYC or Chicago's but I think I'd take Savannah's 1st for one reason: The weather. It is definitely spring time in Savannah and flowers are in bloom and temps are very warm or even hot. The crowds on the riverfront the whole weekend are blockbuster. Girls going topless and such...and plenty of beads. It's like Mardi Gras. Beleive me, the 3 times I've been were well worth it. It's beautiful all the time though....

Franklin Square, right at the end of City Market.

You got it Marilynne.. It was just North of JAX.. Black Hammond Island area North side of the St Johns off A1A. The ruins were at Fort George Island Cultural State Park (across the St Johns from Mayport Naval Air Statjion)

Michael, yes I am... If I am doing family snapshots I usually switch to jpeg but for other stuff I just use raw...
