You have been busy. Oh, buy the way, we found the HAM guys to be very helpful with selling Dad's radios. Thanks for the suggestion. I know it was some time ago since you suggested that Pat and I forgot to mention that we took your advice. My sister came up and we contacted the local group and they sent a guy to help us. It went well, and Dad's radios are all in new homes. Thanks for the advice.

I'm starting to see more birds at Wako. We have three Great Blue Herons and a few TriColors. Loads of Ibis and some Cormorants and Anhingas. Haven't seen a Wood Stork in months.

I am hoping as the weather changes I will start to see more also... you can tell how sparse the birds (and gators) are by the lack of wildlife pics and the abundance of 'scenic" stuff..

Ok everyone,

Back from a weather induced Hiatus! (Called Hurricane Matthew...) Most of the storm, I worked as a radio operator in the County ECO and the Hospital Incident Room (Memorial Hospital is the coordinating hospital for Region J in GA (all of several counties)

I want to thank Marilynne for giving me a call one day to see how I was... I was working the Hospital at the time but such a pleasant break. No real photos as I was working too much... I was at the County ECO Wed & Thur and then got activated at the Hospital for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I did try and get back into photo mode yesterday but when I got to the Refuge, it was closed due to the hurricane damage.

No damage here and we are fine... My son was in mandatory evacuation and he had a tree on his roof, one took out his deck and another took out most of his fence on one side.

Here are a few photos that were taken (not mine) ...

Several state park areas in GA and SC will be closed for much of the remainder of the year due to damage.

Agreed. It seems that down here, there isn't that richness of colors that we find up north. Especially in NH and Vermont.

So true, I lived for so long in NH and really miss the colors... Usually I go up North in Oct and meet some riding buddies in the Catskills... had to cancel that this year due to the hurricane.
