Day 277 - October 4th, 2013

TGIF - Thank God it's FRIDAY!! Had no time today to get out as we were dealing with some major issues with our CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and meetings.

So, what to do?? I grabbed some shots of "Textures" around the qc lab....

Broom.... and a steel plate (space)




Plastic tweezers (green) and scalpel handle (blue plastic




Spring and a used piece of sandpaper.....




Marble surface plate .. and small peel&stick paper arrows to mark locations on parts




wet/dry super fine sandpaper and a strip of emery paper




Not to exciting I know but I wanted to try something different where I was stuck in the building...

Day 278 - October 5th, 2013

Saturday - took some photo's for selling a motorcycle... Took the dogs to teh dog park and snapped some pictures did motorcycle maintenance and had 2 rides, 1 solo and one with the dog...

Here are some of today'... starting with a flock of wild turkeys over to the other property through the trees.. Had to shoot at 300mm, ISO 6400 and crop so not that great...




At the dog park... colors! and the rest are dogs!!













They are looking for a Volunteer to do the photo's at the Dog Halloween Contest... I may volunteer
if they do not land anyone else....

Rainy chilly day.... working inside today... grabbed a few shots between doing "stuff"

Day 282 - October 9th, 2013

Seems like work keeps getting in the way of taking photos!! Planning to shoot some at break and Production Mgr called a meeting which only left me 20 minutes.. I barely had time to drive to Horseshoe and click a few... Not how I like it but thats all I had today..

These are all shot with the D7100 and the 18-105...

Parts of a multi cavity tool waiting for re-assembly... a storage area on the production floor..




Purging material and a conduit bender (we have a LOT of wiring in the plant!)




North side of Horseshoe ... and the South side (where the boat ramp is...)




Leaves at waters edge... OOPS, the spider was on my truck, I quickly changed to Macro!

Day 283 - October 10th, 2013

Today and tomorrow... Then I will be on the road Saturday and Sunday.. Riding to Downsville NY (Catskills) to have lunch with a bunch of my friends..
I will catch back up when I get back...


Today..... all were with the 55-300 on the D7100

Just a side note....

I mentioned that I am going on a 2 day trip on the motorcycle... we are meeting in Downsville NY Sunday for lunch with maybe 20 of my long distance riding friends. Because of these LD rides and my remote adventure rides, my bikes are equipped with a SPOT personal tracker. It marks a map with my location every 10 minutes or so such that my family and friends can track my progress. In an emergency, it also allows me to send a Help Message or an SOS if in trouble.

Anyway, thought I would share the link to my page if anyone wants to chck in on my progress... The page is up now but locations will not appear until I turn SPOT on around 8am EDT. It will track me all the way to where we spend the night tomorrow and then again Sunday, to Downsville NY, and then all the way home to NH.

Thanks Marilynne... It is a little cool this morning (40 deg F) but it is clear and looks like a dry riding day... We will get up to the high 50's later so it will not be too bad. We are meeting for breakfast at 9 and then heading out..
