I was able to get out to the lake for a bit today after work for some playtime with the D7100.

I don't think I can resist it any longer. Looking to upgrade to the 7100 from the d7k and skip the 7200.

I haven't, but I haven't been trying to go very far reaching with this setup yet. The 55-300mm tends to stay mounted up to the D5300 which my wife is using more of.

Nearly all the time with the 400mm but have stopped now i have the 600mm but will still use it occasionally

Portrait. Not liking the light pole being cut off the landscape.

I'm partial to the landscape but I'd clone out the first light pole so it's not cut off. Think I'd also lighten the exposure a bit, too.

I prefer the Portrait even after seeing the fixed the landscape shot. I think that it's because it's still a bit brighter and with a bit better contrasts giving it more life in my opinion.

Generally I prefer the landscape normally though. Lol
