Rocket Launch Visible on the US East Coast tonight

I watched it. I'm near FT Bragg, NC. So it was little more than a fast moving elongated dot of light. Had I not been purposely looking for it... I would have missed it.
My 6yr old, on the other hand, thought it was the coolest thing ever.
I got a real crappy iPhone pic. But I don't think I would have gotten anything better with my bigger camera.
Unfortunately the angle I has if the launch aligned it pretty quickly with the moon and it got washed out after about 10-15 seconds.
Was still pretty cool.

For future opportunities. The same site will launch another rocket on 15 DEC.

We watched it float through the now bare treeline in the back yard. Thought it was gone for a second, but it was just the second stage kicking in. Had I had a better view I believe I would have taken a series of long exposures and stitched them. It was cool to know what it was, and that it was almost 500 miles away and we could still watch.
