So here I am waiting in the barn like an idiot for the snowstorm to arrive so I can try some night time snow shots. Satellite says we're right on the edge. I'm almost freezing as the wind is blowing through the open door when I realize I could probably wait for the snow to arrive inside the house. I also had forgotten to grab the remote for the camera anyways. That's about when I realized if I didn't hit that shutter button, I wouldn't have a photo for the day. So, here's my 30 sec exposure, not focused on anything with camera shake as I didn't have the remote.

It was suppose to start snowing at midnight. The radar said it started snowing at midnight. Nothing.

Waited. Nothing.

Wife at work said it was snowing like crazy there. Nothing here. She's 40 miles west of me.

She said she just got someone (in the ER) from Napoleon who said it was snowing like crazy. Napoleon is 10 miles southeast of us.

Friends north, south, and west of here says it's snowing like crazy. Radar says it's snowing like crazy, yet there's nothing here.

I think it's because I haven't put the snowplow on the tractor yet. Or maybe I really do live in a bubble!

Almost 3am, and it's barely snowing now.

Oh well... Maybe next time.

Nice photoshopping :p looks great.

Thanks! I have no idea what I'm doing though.

I tried to make the edge of the snow a little better. After looking at it for awhile, I probably shoulda extended those sun beams onto the snow. But, like I said, I have no idea what I'm doing. PS has WAY too many gizmos for me.

Try reducing the opacity layer of the snow layer ;-)

Uh oh, there appears to be a little wine left over. Don't worry, the vintner will take care of that!

Wasn't quite sure how to shoot fog, but there it was just staring at me. So I tried different settings, subjects in the foreground, subjects in the background, no subject. Dunno... Here's one I took of nothing though. I'll have to read up on that.

Here's one from my new camera!

A Kindle HDX 8.9

8MP 5P lens f/2.2

I have no idea what 5P means, but there it is! I was kinda hoping to learn more from the EXIF, but there doesn't appear to be any. Maybe I have something turned off on the Kindle.

I thought it strange there was no EXIF for the photo taken by the Kindle, so I investigated it.

Looks like when I FTP'd the photo from the Kindle to my server, not only did it strip the EXIF, it made the file considerably smaller. This I will have to look into.

Here's the EXIF I was looking for though!

Interesting that the time is off, though the date and time is correct on the Kindle. Hmmmm...

--Edit--
Ok, it's Zulu time.
GMT for you civilians. :p
