Andy and I put up this bluebird house March 5th. These bluebirds found it on March 6th. It has been 6 days since and that is long enough for them to have built their nest. Hopefully, we will have some egg laying going on for about a week. And according to AI, "Bluebird eggs typically take about 11 to 19 days to hatch, with an average incubation period of around 13.5 days. The female begins incubating the eggs after laying the last one, ensuring they hatch close together." So I am hoping for early April to see some babies.

First time I have ever had two Red Shouldered Hawks fly right at me. However, I don't think they ever even saw me as their minds seemed to be on other things. So I focused on only one. And then they circled for a second round. The first 2 pictures are actually the last pictures I took but there is no crop on them which shows just how close they came.

So I went to a near by park to mainly get in a walk with a friend when this osprey shows up. I have never seen an osprey here before but I am hoping he will make it a habit. We don't get many osprey here in Kentucky and usually the ones we do get go to lakes so big that you can not get close enough for a good shot, so I was quite pleased with these. I missed the dive while I was trying to position away from a tree, darn.

He did until I tried taking his picture eating it. I didn't think I was to close since when he landed there was a woman walking directly under the tree he sat down in to eat. Apparently, I was wrong and his took his fish and flew away to the other side of the lake.
