Other things I like about the D7000. -- there are external buttons/dials for most features you tend to change. I have mine set so once you push the button you can release the button and make the change with the dial, but there is a setting where you hold the button down and make the change. With the D5100 I would have to go through layers of menus to make changes or the info button and then scroll through to get to the feature I wanted to change. On the D7000 with the external controls you get there in one step or sometimes 2 steps. Right now it's just the more I use it the more my fingers will know just where to go without looking to make the changes I want.
