Hi 4me2c - yes all shot with a D5100 with the 70-300mm on it.

I really like this pic Rick. My question: From the reflection in her sunglasses, seems you are using the flip screen to shoot. Is that the case? This could explain why people don't seem to be 100% aware that you are taking their picture. So many people are just looking at their smart phones, tablets, etc. So, are you using the flip screen in live view most of the time or do you use the viewfinder?

I use the viewfinder. I'm standing on the sidewalk as people are walking towards me and then past me. It's Hollywood Blvd., there is a lot to take in and for people to look at. I'm just one of the many distractions on the street
