Took the D610 down the RC field for the first time and I am pretty pleased with the results.

The buffer runs out a lot quicker than the D5100 and the write time to the SD card a lot slower (bigger files), I guess it made me think a lot more before pressing the shutter in burst mode! I think a quicker SD card is required.

Great shots,i bought the 95mbs extreme pro or something like that, its a lot faster than the camera needs but it downloads to the computer a lot quicker.

One of my club mates, who can fly model planes far, far better than me, was at the field today. This model is 90" wing span with a 50cc 2 stroke petrol engine. He is flying 3D aerobatics, how he knows which way up it is at times I have no idea!

Here's one from a long time ago, back when I was into R/C. This is a heavily modified Axial Scorpion crawler. There is a lot of custom machining here, all parts I made myself.

The CFO said that photography + R/C + model trains was too many hobbies for a big boy to have, so I sold all my R/C stuff on eBay. Probably had over a dozen cars and trucks (gas and electric) over the years and used to race on weekends. This was my first crawler.

Pedaled out to the R/C field yesterday. Only two folks flying. This is an electric plane and it's made of foam. The extra wheels provide weight in the wind. Before he added them, the plane flipped a lot on the runway from the wind.
