Refurbished D7500's now $499 at Nikon

I was looking at NikonUsa and they have refurbished D7500's for $499. I ordered one to replace my D3300 as my lightweight carry camera. It's about 1/2 pound heavier, and larger. But should fit fine in my rolling work computer bag.

I suspect you will really like the D7500, more features and better performance than the trust ol' D3300.

Honestly really didn't "need" it, but with it having the body motor it opens a good size collection of my lenses available for AF. Though I don't necessiairly want to carry their weight. $500 for basically a new camera I could not pass up. About the only other DSLR I want is the D780. If a refurb came out at half price for it tomorrow. I would grab it in a heartbeat. $1,800 for a new one not going to buy it. $1,100 for a refurb is not bad. But $600-700 I'd bite the lure hard!

It has the sensor of the D500 so certainly it isn't a slouch! Have fun with your D7500.

It's here. I paid about $4,500 for a Z8 and 24-140 f/4 Z lens in Aug. I now have a D7500 and 18-140 DX lens for $630. While I was at it I also picked up a 55-300 DX lens for longer reach. I plan to carry the D7500 on work trips with the 18-140, and 55-300, plus a 12-24 DX I already had. So 18mm to 450mm coverage with 3 lenses. I may add my 80-400 AF-D VR to the bag??? Hate to have empty space.
