raw + jpeg and occupied card slots?

If I set my D7000 to raw for card 1 and jpeg for card 2, what happens if I forget to put a second card in the camera? Will the noted format still write to whichever card slot is filled? Thanks.

Tried this in my D600. Removed the RAW card in slot 1 and ended up with JPEG and RAW on the card in slot 2...

The easiest way to find out is to just go ahead and do it. Take a shot of something and see what happens.

I got the same result. Remove card 1 and both raw/jpeg go to card 2. Remove card 2 and both raw/jpeg go to card 1.
