Question about differences in focal length equivalencies and depth of field

Hi, If I have a 35mm DX Lens on a DX camera I will have a FoV of 52.5 (~50mm for ease).

What are the differences between using a 35mm DX on a crop sensor camera and a 50mm on an FX camera. Are there any differences in the depth of field/bokeh that I will get?

Thanks,

Pan

I found a comparison of a 50mm DX vs an 85mm FX but not a 35 vs 50. I can tell there is a little more blurring of the subject. I can see some compression differences too but I'm not sure if that's because it's 75mm equiv. vs 85mm?

The 35mm/DX combo will provide more DOF and less Bokeh at the same distance and FOV as a 50mm/FX combo. Here a basic comparison at 1 meter using f/2

All in Millimeters

FX Sensor
Focal Length

Depth of Field 63.08

DOF in front 30.55 18.65
DOF in Rear 32.54 19.37

You answered your own question with the 85--50 comparison. It's basically the same for the 35-- 50 Fx gives you less DOF.
