sorry. hope you guys aren't getting tired of pics of plants. some days i can't stray far from the house and there are just so many pretty things in our garden that i could shoot them over and over. and sometimes i do.

so much life in the lotus pots. wish i could get a good shot of the tadpoles. do i need a polarizing filter to get past the reflection on the water?

Little bit of motion blur but i love that i got her in action. This momma blue bird was very busy feeding her babies for weeks. i finally managed to catch her on a day when she didn't mind my presence. i guess the babies were being so demanding she didn't have time to worry about me. she was normally really sketchy and would do fly bys over my head, giving me hell for being near her nest and wouldn't go in until i left.

This is the bud of the Empress lotus i posted a leaf pic of a while back. This day was our anniversary and she usually blooms on that day, but was a little slow to bloom this year.

another day, another bee, and yet another time i should have had the 18-55 so i could get closer. it was rainy this day though so i didn't bring my whole bag outside.
