Here are my first attemps on panorama last night and this morning. The first picture is the one i'm trying to get right. The second was this morning trying to work out the kinks. I know my first shot I made two mistakes. First don't forget to set your camera up. Apeture mode doesn't work. lol. Second I learned after stiching I should have shot in vertical. This is why the first picture is squashed.
This is my question.

In the second picture of the street I was able to get a 3:1 picture ratio crop without losing any picture. Any other size gets cut. I was trying to get a wide screen ratio 16:9. When I go out tonight and shoot the city picture How do I get that ratio to be able to get both bridges?? Or do I get the closest ratio without loss and enlarge it. Like 3:1 would enlargeto 27:9.

My son asked me to be his mentor for his web design class. They are learning photoshop techniques and he asked me to help. I decided to try something with him I saw last night and wanted to try it to see if I could do it. I don't know all the tricks of my program and this was pretty fun to do.

Tthis was my first attempt at it and no copying and pasting. I'ts two layers. The bottom pic is without the hands. I erased the top layer to see the eyes on the second layer. I wanted to do a light erase but, havent figured out the adjustments yet.

In this one I figured out how to lighten the eraser. Then I highlighted the eyes more, then turned the colored areas back to b&w using the hue adjustment. Now that I can do this , I should get some great effects.
