I was seen by employees in both the casino and the store when shooting. No one said a word but I'll take your advice and keep on the down low....

In the casino I was using the P&S CoolPix and in the store the D5100. But last thing I want to do is cause a problem for the business or myself. I'm just shooting because I like to. None of my pics are for commercial use just a personal collection of events and memories.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

Keeping with the "down low" approach I shot some nice flowers that were actually down low....

There was no indication camera's were forbidden and no one told me not to take pics. They may be not allowed but if so you would be hard pressed to know that as a guest of the casino.

Street Photos - Magic Johnson style
Just happened to be across the street this morning from a event Magic was going to. He saw me shoot the pics and walked straight over to me, my girlfriend and the other people I was with. Shook our hands said hello and went off to his event. All good - everyone was happy :)

Did you get a model release? If not I would suggest contacting him and offer him some paltry sum for a model release and an autograph at the same time and tell him you will zealously defend "his" image because he was kind enough to let you make "your" image happen...tell him you love him and I bet it will happen! And if you get that model release sir you did something! :)

Magic is magic man...first rate stuff RickSaw...I love the black and white too...man those are some good photos Magic looks good! I am glad to see him looking healthly and I could give a rat's ass about basketball...he is from my time!

Rick? Stick to black and white, bud...seriously. They are awesome! The colour ones you show here in post #209....not so good, bud. They look over processed or over sharpened.

Hi Jack,

I agree it was a weak day for pics for me. Took a few not great pics I shot this am then over processed them and it shows. Did have a really good hike finding a "shortcut" that took me straight up the side of a mountain that was definitely not short ;) so that made the day okay. Had the camera with me but nothing really grabbed me as I was just trying to survive the climb :) Still feel the climb in my legs so that's a great day - all about the burn. No pain - no gain....

Back to people and B&W tomorrow -

California (at least SoCal) would make a very nice resort Island. So if we were to float off into the ocean rather than fall off into the ocean it might not be so bad. Kind of a near coast Hawaii. The new coastline would cool off Arizona and Las Vegas very nicely too.
