Early Bloom Super Peony

I think this is a type of Peony but I don't know what it's really called. My regular Peonies are only half grown. These are dinner plate size and the bush is about 3 feet tall and in full bloom.

This is tree peony Rick. Chinese people call them Mau Tan. The "regular" peonies as you say, called herbaceous peonies.

Thank you, now that makes sense to me because the base does look almost like a tree. I can usually find this stuff on the web but struck out on this one.

It the neighbors and he just got the house a year ago so he's not going to know anything about it.
