Pray for those affected by today's bombings in Boston during Marathon

I was out with my wife today walking downtown when the bombs went off in Boston at the Boston Marathon and man all the activity of police, ambulances heading to MGH, FBI vehicles, police escorts, so many helicopters in the sky, people on cell phones leaving the scene....parts of the subway shut down. Unbelieveable. Thankfully we were a few blocks down when it happened but just thought I would post that my prayers are with those who were affected by today's attack on our city.

Yes, this is so upsetting. photographers that were there to capture moments of Joy, instead capture moments of tragedy.

I heard it on the news (radio) on my commute home from work... Very upsetting when I heard it...

My prayers are with injured & families of the deceased. I hope the person(s) responsible are brought to justice very quickly and punished to the full extent of the law.

It reminds me of that attack on the patrons of the movie theater, after that my wife didn't want to go to the movies. It is only recently we went again. Now she's afraid to go downtown. The psycological effects are going to be very lasting. As more details come out as well as images of the scenes, the scale of this is really beginning to sink in. I just saw what happened on the fringe of the event, imagine those who were right there when it happened. This is really a sad and terrible day for our city, a city that always opens its arms to people from around the world, to students, to tourists. When you think of all the good people here that do things for others all over the world, and then this happens? There's evil in the world that has to be dealt with decisively. I just can't imagine those whose lives are forever changed by this, I really feel for them. And yet there was also so much heroism today for those who stayed to help even with the possible threat of more explosions.

Thank-you for all your supportive comments and let us hope that justice will be served.

They are hunger striking at Gitmo and it has been in the news the past few days...wonder if it has something to do with that? Looking at the photos the second bomb looks like a suicide bombing to me although I don't know exactly what they look like...there were a lot of cameras pointing at it and whoever did it knew that would be the case...could be a message...

Any Marathon is a celebration of us all, a gathering of all nationalities and religions. Utterly senseless, savage act. Thoughts with you Boston

It is indeed a sad day when people use events like this or any other time to invoke mindless carnage on innocent people.

Entire Boston city and area is in police lockdown now. The entire city. My wife and I can't go to work. Police pursuing the 2nd terrorist. First one is killed. MIT officer killed after robbery by terrorist brothers...on a street where my wife and I work. No subway, no taxi even.
