Fair enough hehe well you've done a good job of teaching yourself!

You tube and Google is my friend :)

I'm interested to hear from others if the composition is better with a square crop.
Some if not all might prefer the landscape format.

My feeling is a photo should not miss "bits" off.
Although cutting a section off (as opposed to clipping a part) is good for close up shots.

I will revisit this location in the future to try get a better shot... There's another cool location I would like to try, which is visible in this picture in the background, its the local commercial port where ships unload their containers.... Should make for an interesting photo too....

Maybe you could do a few quick start guides for total newbies to Photoshop like myself...
Your artistic rendition is really great

Whitelight, I'll see if I can do something.
What I do with photoshop is easy (like saying riding a bike is easy I suppose) and I don't mind passing info on to help anyone on the forum.

Whether I can get the info across with some pictures and text is another matter.
I will try though, and will use the powerstation as an example if Samsonite would allow it.

Wish I'd done a better job of it now, lol. It was only meant to show how I might have framed it.
