I was out with wifey last Friday birding at a local wildlife refuge (from the car). She spotted what she thought was a hawk & when she pulled her camera up (D500, 500PF), she immediately noticed it was a Bald Eagle. Unfortunately, it was quite distant. I did my best to position us closer & we both got a few shot "just to get them". While she was shooting, I figured WT_, and pulled the 500PF off my D500 and mounted it to a 2xTCIII and put it on the "little Z50". F11...????.... Could it focus? Would it produce clear images?
If I had been able to prep & think about it a little more, I could (should?) have been able a little better. I could have at least not blown the whites. Lol!!!
These were shot handheld, standing in the road. When I got out (slowly as possible, from quite a distance), it was only seconds until he decided to depart.
I was pleasantly surprised by my new little trooper!
Also impressive (to me), is the fact that the little Z50 was able to maintain some degree of focus when the BE flew behind a tree.
