Post your waterfalls

its in nj but not too far from bushkill. This is from the other day at dingmans falls. This is with a tripod, remote, cpl and nd filter.

i like the waterfall, the whirlpool not so much.

Probably should have waited until a little later in the day for more even lighting on this one, but it was already hot has Hades @ 9:00am....

I was trying the obligatory longer exposure. I tried by using aperture mode and also shutter priority mode.....they were all terribly over exposed. What is the "secret" for doing this? Neutral density filters?



This is the only one that was "almost there".

Yup, you will not be able to do it without an ND filter. I always use an ND and a CPL to remove the reflections. Without them you will always end up with an overexposed shot. You cant leave the shutter open that long without too much light getting in. The ND filter reduces the light that hits the sensor and allows you to get a long exposure shot in the daylight.

Thanks Shipman, I had figured as much after I saw my results. I've got an ND2, Nd4 and a ND8 coming soon so that will give me 2 4 6 and 8 densities. I have a CPL that I should have tried the day of my outing but didn't even think about it, it might have given me another stop or two. Next effort should be much better. Thanks and nice picture.

A lot of the condos now have waterfalls at their entrances. This is a very old and small one, before it became fashionable.
