Post your ultra-wide angle shots

It may not appear that this image was taken with an ultra-wide lens, but I used my 18mm f/3.5 AIS Nikkor. Taking distance for this image was very limited so my 18mm was the widest lens I had except my 16mm fisheye and I needed the straight lines to remain straight.

Some really neat photos in this thread, I might have to get a wider lens than my 18-105. I don’t know if I need or want to go as wide as 10, maybe something in between.

Here are a couple taken from my office today of the Seattle waterfront. Both are at 18mm, f/9, 200 ISO.

With a view like that it's a wonder you get any work done... apart from browsing the web to check out what's happening on Nikonites that is :p
cheers

Well, I must confess, my office is not a traditional four sided building so I get to cheat a lot and looking out the window is part of the job description.

Very nice. What is it about the English country side that makes it so beautiful, aside from your talent of course.

I might have to look into that lens. Where are Sigma lenses manufactured?

Lee, thanks for the Sigma link.

Maipo River in Elliot Bay, Seattle, Washington. f/10, 1/400, ISO 200, 18mm. The high, thin clouds made it kind of Blahhh

Beautiful photos.

You pushed me over the edge, last night I ordered the Sigma 10-20 f/3.5, a Hoya UV filter and Lightroom 5 from B&H Photo.

I go back to work the last week of October for about 10 days and then I’m done, I have this feeling I’m going to wish I had this lens a long time ago, but not enough to make me want to keep working.
