I'm thinking those are old C&O & still in service. CSX is removing them at a very fast rate. Won't be long before they are all gone. That will be a sad day.

All of the old signals are coming down and it is indeed sad. It's largely a result of Federal regulations as borne of Positive Train Control and it's left everything looking generically bland. Here's a shot of an old ACL bridge at Lanes, SC. I drove here twice in hope of a photo with a train, but never succeeded and I suspect this classic bridge is gone today.

I'm thinking some signals may survive longer due to their placement on lesser used redundant lines. Like this one in Upper Sandusky Ohio that used to be a main line of the Pennsylvania RR.

Nice shots Danno! That's a so-called "Paducah Geep". The ICG shops in Paducah, KY turned out hundreds of these rebuilds, many for other railroads. Such a find sight.
