I have very few scanned pictures of trains under wire and they were poorly scanned long ago with tiny file sizes. Here's an example, taken in June 1981 of a renovated Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1 at Woodbridge, NJ. She was placed in regular service and roamed the lines just like any other GG-1. These were the most famous face of electric railroading in the U.S., operating from 1935 to 1983! An almost perfectly designed machine.
Recently introduced SNCF class 84500 bi-mode (1500V DC/25000V AC + Diesel) unit 84587 heading towards Nancy.
PS: These are the infamous units which SNCF ordered and then discovered were too wide for many station platforms. Said to be costing the company 50m Euros to cut back the platform edges.
Some old shots I took in Cripple Creek Co on vacation a couple of years ago. Just flipping through my photo catalogue and stumbled upon these. Not shot with a Nikon but still train shots.
