weebee, I like the shot of the old and new mileposts (Newark, NY on the former New York Central Railroad is 341 Miles from the bumping posts at Grand Central Terminal) and the single track bridge, which is of the former Pennsylvania Railroad's branch north to Sodus Point or to Marion depending on where you stood. These two roads were arch rivals during the golden age of railroading.

You know your stuff about railroads. You would have had a fun time talking to my step dad. He was an engineer for 30 plus years out of Il.

Yep. And the photo you have in your gallery is identical to this one. I guess "Great minds........."

We pedaled there (16+ miles) after a doctor visit a couple of weeks ago. They really don't have it laid out for great photography shots.
