Neat find Marilynne. "As Is - Where Is". Leesport, PA? Take a Ride On The Reading .... for $11,000. :)

Such a deal!! It's actually in S. Hamburg, PA right now at the Blue Mtn. & Reading Railroad Museum. They didn't take us inside that one on the tour. More train stuff to follow. Still working on it.

This water tower is not the original but it sure looks like it.

There were no steam engines here, but they did have this coal tender. It was modified during WWII to carry water.

Thanks Pat. I was excited about this months assignment until I realized all these "weathered" photos were taken August 31!!

Ouch! I was thinking that would be a good entry!! Hey, go back and shoot it again!! :)

I got several while down south that I am hoping to use for my entries once I get through them all!!

Pat in NH

Tried to visit the South Florida Railway Museum in Deerfield Beach on Sunday. It's only open on Wed night (6pm-9pm) and Sat afternoon (noon-4pm). Anyway, here's a shot of the track that Amtrak and Tri-Rail use. No trains went by while we were there.

The Last Car ...

I hadn't heard of the Windsor & Hantsport, so looked it up. It's a gypsum hauler and I read that Hantsport currently has one of the fastest ship loaders in the world because the port is affected by the extreme tides in the Bay of Fundy. Ships cannot stay in port for more than 3 or 4 hours, else they risk touching bottom. Fascinating! The road's logo reads "Land Of Evangeline". What does that refer to Slowpoke?
