That was taken at the Boneyard beach nearby. We got lucky and had some cloud cover to give some real color and interest to the sky. I'm looking forward to getting back there this late fall/winter. The gate opens at 6:00 AM, and you have at least a half hour drive/walk from the gate to the beach, so much of the year by the time you get there the sun is already up.
This is a couple weeks later when there was little in the way of clouds. While it has it's own charm (the scene, rather than my attempt at capturing it), There is definitely more drama in the image with lots of clouds and their colors. It was breathtaking to watch that at the beach.
