Coming from you, that is high praise. This was just a grab shot. I have been trying to test out the new lens without the ability to leave the house for any significant time. I saw this gal in the crepe myrtle tree out front. I grabbed my camera and took some shots, gave it some exposure compensation and took a few more. There was a fair amount of backlighting, which didn't give the best of backgrounds, and required some post processing to ameliorate. It is nice and sharp and has a good "expression" on the face of the tree rat.

WEV, looking at your pictures reminds me of the time back in the 70s when I spent 7 miserable, I mean interesting, months in California. My wife and I were down near the bay feeding the ground squirrels, and one nearly climbed in her lap to get some food. I have a picture of that somewhere. Later on I discovered that California ground squirrels are the number one vector for the plague in the US.
