I used to photograph a trusting squirrel I named Wilson but haven't seen him in months. This one has a long tail - almost as long as Wilson's - which makes me wonder if it is a sibling. First I posted this image on Facebook but realized I cropped off part of the tail's length.

So I went back and re-edited the image using a longer crop.

My goodness that is a long tail. I wonder if he ever trips over it?

I am curious about the EXIF info. It says that the focal length is 280 and the lens is 70-200 I think. Is that because it is from the cropped sensor on the D500?

The 1.4 teleconverter made it a 280mm focal length.

This is my demon rat who unfortunately I have grown a fond attachment. I hope he remains a bachelor and does not do as his predecessor and eat a hole through my siding. I fear for him should he be joined by others or develops an appetite for my house. He poses for me on a regular basis so for now he is safe.
