I'm thinking of adding a Tamron 70-300 VC to my lens collection and retiring my old Siggy 100-300mm and vintage push pull Nikkor 70-210mm. So I thought I'd take it out for a walk just to see what it can do. My birding efforts and many other fails are helping to pry open the wallet and get the Tammy but I did get a couple of not-so-bad squirrelly shots.
This one wide open at 100mm, besides conversion from raw image no other pp changes

Not taken with a Nikon but thought it was a good effort by the Mrs, taken on here Canon SX60, thought I would share it with you guys
Thanks, Mike. This one wins the prize for the longest tail -- I probably cropped a good 2 inches more in the image
