Post your spiders

Wow you have a real gift of being able to make your shots pop with rich colors! Way to go my friend!! :D

Thanks Bill. It's not that hard. I use some pseudo-HDR as a basis. I see it being used in landscapes and architecture and wondered what would happen if I took it to macro. The background I often desaturate a degree which directly makes the rest pop some more.

It works well with spiders but it's mainly their web that makes it all work. I'm trying to use the "technique" with other bugs but still haven't found the perfect approach.

There is a section just for critique or even just helpful feedback discussing just your photo you start the thread about.
But I'll mention a couple things that might be of help. :) it looks like you over cropped a bit and boxed your spider in too tight. The room you left on the right was a good idea, but that room should be in front of the spider if possible so it looks free, and not trapped.
I hope these tips that were once told to me will be of help! :)

Cool looking spider! :D

It's my lucky day. This one I call Mr Sinister. He always retreats and lurks in the dark. It's rare I get the opportunity for a decent shot.

How rude, you took her photo while her mouth was full! Lol ;) cool shot buddy, and love the fact you caught her with lunch! Lol :D

You got to get them when they're distracted. ;)

I lucked out with this one. My DOV barely touches the head. A little bit more would have been ideal but I'm already glad I got this much without losing the web in front.
