Re: spiders

Ah, the circle of life: the spider paused, the spider gloated, the lacewing flew

Re: spiders

Apparently, my little friend learned his lesson from last night and was taking no chances today

Re: spiders

I spotted this little (1/4" body) translucent spider on the front screen

He was scurrying about and when I popped open another pic, there was an even smaller friend hanging about watching the action.

Re: spiders

I knew from the corpses somebody was hiding out under the lamp base, but I couldn't catch him 'til tonight

Re: spiders

Almost set my wine glass down on this one -- barely 1/8" and hyperactive. He/She stopped zipping long enough for a quick pic and then jumped off the edge of my desk

Re: spiders

I HATE SPIDERS !!! Good shot though :cower:

Thanks Greg. Its funny, spiders don't worry me, but I just hate snakes.

I hope these little fella's don't bite, because when I am shooting them sometimes they jump onto me, I have to put them back on a leaf so I can continue taking photos of them.

Re: spiders

I came across this psychedelic Jumping Spider yesterday. He was very jumpy, as the green ants were chasing him. He already had 2 legs missing, so no wonder he was nervous.

I managed to get these shots in about 30 seconds, then he was gone.

Re: spiders

I found 2 of the colourful Jumping Spiders in the same tree as the other day.
These ar the most nervous spiders I have ever come across, they are constantly moving, and won't look at the camera.
I have to tap under the leaf with one hand while holding the camera with the other hand and trying to get a shot while they jump around. Not easy to get them in focus.
I got 10 keepers today, but these 2 are my favourites.

The shrub that these ones live in isnt spikey, but its full of Green Ants. I had them all over me yesterday while I was trying to get the shots.
The spiders and the Green Ants seem to be hunting each other, they are constantly on the move.
