Post YOUR rides

New guy here....just bought a D3200 and have been experimenting. Here is my ride, 2010 Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0T. Please feel free to let me know what you think I can do differently. ...

Your work looks fine to me and such a nice car. My wife drives a Jetta Sportwagen TDI 6-Speed Manual that we like a bunch. When I shot with Kodachrome years ago, the low evening sun would make reds, yellows and oranges look deep and wonderful, and the low lighting angle was superb. You might want to have some fun with a similar setting and see what you capture.

There's a nice setting near our house that I want to try to set my truck in to get an evening picture. Problem is that it's in a spot that'll attract a crowd and I hate conversing while trying to set up a photograph.

That's what I have now, but not a manual (couldn't find one!) Great car for the price, and I've been consistently getting 38mpg 50/50 city highway.

The EPA ratings are crazy low for the VW Jetta TDIs; we get excellent numbers too. My kid is learning how to drive AND is learning on the Jetta and is doing great with the stick shift. It's a wonderful gearbox. But man, when you stall a diesel, it kicks like a mule!

Here's my truck parked adjacent to a much more impressive wheeled machine - Norfolk Southern's Virginian 'Heritage' locomotive 1069, boasting 4,300 HP. A fine locomotive on a fine railroad.

Now we're talking human powered rides - here are ours. A matched pair of Catrike Villagers - mines the white one, the Mrs. has the red one. That's her heading home peddling hard to beat the impending storm on the horizon. That's our tiny village of Fort Kent on the horizon.

I noticed a hidden detail in our Volkswagen's headlamp assembly the other day. Pretty neat that someone thought of sneaking the logo in such a spot!
